7 Ways Students Can Use Canva for School Projects

Most students use Canva to make a poster and stop there. But Canva is a full creative suite covering dozens of formats. Here are seven ways students can use it for school projects — and why each one builds a different skill set.

1. Infographic

Turning research into an infographic forces students to distill complex information into its essential points — a high-order thinking task disguised as a design project. Canva has over 500 infographic templates covering timelines, comparison charts, process diagrams and statistical summaries. The process of deciding what to include (and what to cut) often deepens understanding more than writing an essay does.

2. Presentation

Canva's presentation editor competes directly with PowerPoint and Google Slides.
