Overview

Web 2.0 Tools ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. We keep this simple because we collect very little.

Data we collect

Tool submission form — if you submit a tool suggestion, we collect the tool name, URL, description and optionally your name and email. This information is only used to review and add the tool to the directory.
Favorites — saved tools are stored in your browser's localStorage only. Nothing is sent to our server.
Page views — we track view counts on tool and blog pages (a simple counter in our database) to show popular content. No personal data is stored.
Server logs — like any web server, ours records IP addresses and request timestamps in standard access logs. These are not shared and are deleted regularly.

Cookies

We do not set any tracking or advertising cookies. We use a single session cookie for admin login functionality only. If you are a regular visitor, no cookies are set.

Third-party services

Tool logos are loaded via the Clearbit Logo API (a public, free service). When you click "Visit Tool", you leave this site and are subject to that tool's own privacy policy. We are not responsible for third-party sites.

We use Bootstrap and Bootstrap Icons loaded from the jsDelivr CDN. jsDelivr may log requests — see their privacy policy for details.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third party. Tool submission data is visible only to our admin team.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any personal data you submitted (e.g. via the tool submission form) by contacting us. Since we collect almost nothing, there is typically very little to delete.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
